Michigan hosted one of their biggest visitors of the year last weekend in 2015 Wide Receiver Auden Tate. Tate, who committed to Florida State in August, grew up cheering on the Maize and Blue and was finally able to make his first trip to see the Wolverines play in person.  

By all reports Tate’s visit went over extremely well and Auden even told Wolverine24’7’s Steve Lorenz that it “exceeded my expectations” and that he will be trying to make a second visit in the future with his family. Auden spent the entire weekend in Ann Arbor and was able to check out all the football facilities and even was on the field before the game talking to current Running Back Ty Isaac.

Auden is an extremely talented receiver with all the potential to be dominant at the college level. Although he has missed a good chunk of games in his senior season due to an LCL injury, Auden was able to put together quite an impressive highlight film from the games he did play in.

As you can see from the film above, Auden is a play-maker on the gridiron. He possesses excellent speed, and regularly beats the man covering him. In punt/kick return situations, you get a better idea of how well Auden see’s the field.  He’s instantly able to stop on a dime and turn direction.  When he has the ball in his hands, Auden is constantly looking up field for his blocks and always seems to gain extra yardage on plays that look like they could be dead.  When being tackled, Auden always keeps his legs moving and is extremely hard to bring down. While watching his film, the part I’m most impressed about is his ability to not shy away from contact. If someone is in his way, Auden will put his head down and try to gain as many extra yards as possible. For his Wharton High School team, Auden has also seen playing time at tight end, which has given him the chance to become a decent blocker. 

At this point, Michigan does have a chance to flip the talented 4* receiver, but I wouldn't be betting on it. If a coaching change does happen, everything could change regarding Michigan’s recruiting. But, with Auden being a lifelong Wolverine fan, there’s always a chance.  

Michal Menet Releases his Top 5
2016 Offensive Tackle released his Top 5 on Tuesday, and it didn't include Michigan.

Michal was offered by the Michigan coaching staff in May and had not made any unofficial visits to campus. He is rated as the #14 Offensive Tackle in 2016 and #145 overall.  He currently holds a 24/7 crystal ball reading that favors Penn State 100%.

Other Notes:

2015 Defensive End target Keisean Lucier-South committed to UCLA last Saturday. Keisean was Michigan’s highest ranked remaining target and visited Ann Arbor in October for the Penn State game.

2016 Defensive End Khalid Kareem and 2017 Defensive End Corey Malone-Hatcher will visit Louisville this weekend.

2016 Wide Reciever Ahmir Mitchell tweeted out (since deleted) a picture of a Michigan “Starter Pack” that he received in the mail. The picture was similar to the one posted below.

Former Michigan Running Back commit Mike Weber received a scholarship offer from Alabama on Wednesday.

2015 ATH John Kelly picked up scholarship offers from Iowa and Tennessee this week.
