My Picks
Week 13: 6-0
Overall: 75-14
Friday, November 29th
IOWA @ NEBRASKA | 12:00 | ABCThe battle for the Heroes Trophy. Nebraska leads the overall series 28-12-3. This is sort of a renewed rivalry of sorts. Since 1946, Iowa and Nebraska have only played 8 times...before that 35 times. The Heroes Trophy didn't materialize until 2011 when Nebraska joined the Big Ten. The last time Iowa won in this series was 1981. I think that streak continues Friday. Nebraska 31 Iowa 17

#3/3/3 OHIO STATE @ MICHIGAN | 12:00 | ABCThe Game. The biggest rivalry in college football and there's no trophy to play for, only the souls of your demoralized opponent. Michigan leads the overall series 58-44-6 dating back to 1897. Although, since the start of the Big Ten conference in 1918, that record is 46-44-4 in favor of the Wolverines. I personally don't think this will be a blowout for the Buckeyes. I think it's going to be a very physical game and, at times, very nasty. These two teams hate each other. Stop back Friday for our preview.
MINNESOTA @ #11/11/11 MICHIGAN STATE | 12:00 | BTN
This game is not a trophy game or even a rivalry game, yet that won't stop Minnesota from showing up and give Michigan State a game. With the trip to Indy in the bag, Michigan State may take their foot off the gas so-to-speak, so you never know...the Gophers aren't a pushover. Michigan State 24 Minnesota 13
NORTHWESTERN @ ILLINOIS | 3:30 | BTN
This game has two trophies...sorta. From 1945 till 2008, these two schools played for the Sweet Sioux Tomahawk. But the NCAA struck down trophies that depicted Native American imagery that was deemed hostile and abusive. Thus, the creation of the Land of Lincoln Trophy. Since both schools are in Illinois, it sort of makes sense. Illinois leads the series 54-47-5, but Northwestern ends the season on a high note. Northwestern 27 Illinois 21
PENN STATE @ #14/14/15 WISCONSIN | 3:30 | ESPN
Not a rivalry, but just the same, this game is huge for Wisconsin if they want to remain in the BCS conversation. Penn State's up and down season could end on a very down note should they drop this one. Wisconsin 36 Penn State 18
PURDUE @ INDIANA | 3:30 | BTN
The battle for the Old Oaken Bucket. Purdue has dominated this series 72-37-6, including 13 of the last 16. But that trend begins it's reverse this week as Indiana hands the Boilers their 8th conference loss of the season. Indiana 38 Purdue 24
