My Picks
Week 9: 3-1
Overall: 58-10
Saturday, November 2nd
#4/4/4 OHIO STATE @ PURDUE | 12:00 | BTNThree of Ohio State's last four trips to Purdue have resulted in a loss...2004, 2009 and 2011. While I certainly agree that there just seems to be something about West Lafayette that rubs the Buckeyes the wrong way, I just simply can't see any way in which the Boilers can stop that offense. Ohio State will roll mightily in this one. This could get real ugly real fast. Ohio State 65 Purdue 14
#22/23/24 WISCONSIN @ IOWA | 12:00 | ABC/ESPN2
Iowa, fresh off an nice win against Northwestern, will host maybe the second best squad in the league as Wisconsin comes in looking to win out in hopes of securing a BCS at-large berth. Iowa's been playing better lately, but they don't have the firepower to go toe-to-toe with the Badgers. Wisconsin 38 Iowa 21
ILLINOIS @ PENN STATE | 12:00 | ESPN
Time to shake off the bitter agony of defeat for both of these programs. It's redemption time for someone and I think it's going to be the Nittany Lions. I'd like to believe they're better than they showed in Columbus last week, and I think they are. Plus, Illinois is just bad at playing football. Penn State 24 Illinois 14
#23/21/21 MICHIGAN @ #24/24/22 MICHIGAN STATE | 3:30 | ABC
For some reason Gerry DiNardo doesn't think it matters if Sparty wins this game or not...they still have the edge on getting to Indy. I think this game eliminates the loser from B1G contention. This is because I think the loser unravels after this one.
This game will be about as brutal as a Big Ten game can possibly be...and that's saying something. It's going to be tough, it's going to be hard, and it's going to define exactly where the Michigan program stands right now. Stop back Friday for our full-fledged preview.
MINNESOTA @ INDIANA | 3:30 | BTN
Minnesota enters November play already bowl eligible. That's impressive, and frankly, rather unexpected given what we saw in Michigan Stadium a few weeks ago. But the Gophers are playing with confidence all of the sudden and that confidence will be matched by an Indiana team that has only one speed...ludicrous speed. The last team with the ball may win this one. Indiana 45 Minnesota 38
NORTHWESTERN @ NEBRASKA | 3:30 | BTN
Northwestern can't keep losing can they? Sure they can. Nebraska 30 Northwestern 27
