Tomorrow marks Akron's 25th game against the Big Ten in it's history, but only the first meeting with Michigan. The Zips are 1-23 all-time against the B1G, and 1-22 all-time against ranked opponents. After Saturday, Ohio and Kent State will be the only remaining MAC schools Michigan has yet to play.

Brady Hoke ponies up for 5,000 glazed donuts for students who show up early in line this Saturday.
ESPN B1G bloggers Brian and Adam preview week 3.
"We've got 5,000 doughnuts to our students this Saturday," Hoke said Thursday during an interview with 97.1-FM in Detroit. "This is a glazed doughnut game.Angelique from DetNews writes Hoke doesn't think M is a top 10 team yet.
"(They'll go to) those who get there early. It's an early game, it's a doughnut game. We call them glazed doughnut games. Tim Horton's is helping us out, we've got 5,000 donuts."
The snacks will be provided by local branches of Tim Hortons. They'll be distributed beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday to the student line. Students can start lining up for entry at 7 a.m. Saturday and at 9 a.m. they'll be let into the stadium. The doughnuts will be distributed by student athletes.

Rittenberg: UCF's Blake Bortles abused Akron for big plays in Week 1. Devin Gardner, eat your heart out. The Gardner-Gallon connection cranks up again as Jeremy Gallon hauls in two more touchdowns. Fitzgerald Toussaint goes for 120 rush yards and a score as Michigan rolls. ... Michigan 45, Akron 17
Brian Bennett: Akron has won four games since the end of the 2009 season. Notre Dame hangover? Maybe, but it won't matter one bit. ... Michigan 48, Akron 10
Predictions
There's not much to predict here. Michigan is going to absolutely roll offensively and defensively. Akron has given up 38 and 33 points in their first two games. The first game was a 38-7 loss at UCF, a respectable opponent. But the second game was a 2 point win against FCS foe James Madison out of the Colonial Athletic Association.
Translation: Akron is not very good at the football.
Michigan's starting rotation should see maybe one to two series' in the second half, then it's should be clear the bench time. The key for this week should be to come out sharp and dispense with a wildly overmatched opponent with ease. That, and don't get hurt, of course.
Akron is a 37-point dog, and I think that's pretty light. As is the over/under at 57. With the bulk of Michigan's depth chart filled with 4-star recruits, it's not like the backups that much of a step down. I digress...Michigan wins running away.

Tweet obnoxiously if...
• If you're tweeting obnoxiously for a noon game against Akron, reexamine stuff going on with you.
• Totally acceptable to continue to tweet about the Notre Dame game, though.

Commence panic if...
• Any injury to an offensive starter.
• Sloppy play keeps this game in doubt going into the 2Q.
• You burned the brats at your morning tailgate.
