Defensive Lineman Ondre Pipkins Injured in Practice

Official statement from Brady Hoke via UM media relations:
Ondre injured his neck during practice this morning. He had movement in all extremities and was taken to U-M Health System for precautionary reasons and evaluation.
That is all we know right now. It's very encouraging that he had movement in all extremities and was only taken to UM Health System as a precaution. But neck injures are nothing to be messed with. Here's to Ondre's full and speedy recovery.

First, Roy Roundtree's knee surgery, then Chris Wormley's ACL, now this. Safe to say Michigan has had their fair share of the injury bug this summer.

We'll update as further details from Fort Schembechler become available.

UPDATE:
Tweet from @PeeWeeUofM9456 yesterday evening...

And another Tweet, showing off Pipkins' famous sense of humor...

AnnArbor.com's Kyle Meinke updated us yesterday evening that Ondre attended Michigan's practice yesterday afternoon without a neck brace just hours after being taken to the hospital. This is great news. No word on when Pipkins should be able to get back to practice. We should get a full update on Tuesday when Brady Hoke meets with the media.
