The sites are all in agreement that Pipkins plays defensive tackle. They're in slight disagreement though over his weight. Rivals and ESPN list him at 325, Scout at 320 and 24/7 at 305. Safe to say though that he's a big boy.
This is a huge pickup for Mattison, who needed another defensive tackle in the 2012 class. It has been rumored that Pipkins' commitment would be coming soon, and now it is finally here. Why ESPN ranks him at 3 stars is likely because they think he has great size, but needs to develop a bit more in the weight room before he can be a standout at the next level.
Given Michigan's depth at DT, he may not have the luxury of red-shirting. Which means he's going to need to be able to step in early and make a splash. I think with the combination of Hoke and Mattison, he'll have every tool he needs to do just that.

There really isn't a hype video that I can find for Pipkins. All I see is a shaky camera showing a random play that doesn't seem to feature Pipkins at all. If anyone knows of a better video that I can use here, I'm all ears.
