During Rodriguez's presser yesterday, he addressed some injury question marks. Among them, the injury to OL Mark Ortmann's elbow. It looks like a dislocation, and he could be out for at least a couple weeks. In his stead, sophomore Brian Nowicki will step in. He impressed coaches last week, and has earned the start against ND. He saw limited action last year in blowout wins.
WR Greg Matthews will be back in the lineup this weekend after rehabbing a leg injury. Also back for the first time since last year is RB Carlos Brown. McGuffie and Shaw are still listed 1 & 2 on the depth chart, but expect to see those 3 plus Grady and Minor all in the backfield this weekend.
For the latest lineup, check out our depth chart.
On the recruiting end...bad news. Highly touted Detroit Cass Tech senior, 5-star recruit Will Campbell has de-committed from the Maize & Blue. He says he still has Michigan on his list, but he felt that he should keep his options open.
If you want a ton more recruiting info...check out mgoblog. Brian's gotcha covered. Our recruiting board is also constantly updated.
